Shane was talking to Megan (#39). When I asked to photograph them, Shane shrugged and said “Why not?” So after I asked him to just look like himself, without posing, I got several shots with this disarming, slightly crooked smile. In two images, his eyebrows shot up, as if saying, “How about this?”

Then I asked him a couple of questions, hoping that a few thoughts might change the facial gesture. He said, rather directly, “We were having a discussion”.

In other words, shoot quickly and scram.

I did both.
