Cabin (#170) 12-21-12

Yes, Cabin. He is Jamaican, and in Jamaica, this is pronounced “Sabin”. It sounds sort of like the University of Alabama football coach’s name, to me.

Cabin was manning an art booth at a fair in Savannah. I complemented him on the Rasta locks and he reluctantly allowed me to photograph him. The background is busier than I like. The alternative was for me to move so that the booth and wall were not visible. The background then would have been the Savannah River, which is pretty, but very bright. I chose this as a lesser of evils.

With this somewhat chaotic background, color is a disaster. In my opinion. At least black and white simplifies it a bit, letting Cabin’s face come forward.
